Huge chunky freeform faceted deep purple amethyst pendant and chain necklace. The stone weighs approximately 80 carats. Set in sterling silver with a sterling silver rope chain. The stone is asymmetrical in shape and faceted. It has inclusions and some are along the bottom edge. They look cracky but are not.
The pendant measures 1 3/8" tall by 1" wide and 7/8" deep. The thick sterling rope chain is 16" long. Weight: 42.6 grams. No hallmarks. Acid tested. The chain is marked sterling. Mid-Century in vintage.
