Why is Otsby Barton special? What is the Connection to the Titanic?

Engelhart Cornelius Østby was born in Norway in 1847. With his partner, Nathan Barton they formed the Otsby Barton company that at the time was a huge producer of gold and silver jewelry. Rings, Brooches and cameos were favorites.

Mr. Otsby was aboard the Titanic with his daughter, Helene that fateful night that it sank. Helene survived and Mr. Otsby went down with the grand ship.

OB jewelry is now highly collected and coveted.
