She is 18 years old and was made in March of 2000 in The U.S.A. This bag is in excellent vintage condition. No tears, no cracking and no separated lining which is rare for a bag of this vintage.
The vachetta has a light honey patina with some spots on the bottom and some darkening on the top of the handles. I elected to not condition this bag because he leather is well preserved and has that beautiful shine that vachetta gets with age.
The brass hardware is tarnished, but the zipper moves beautifully so I left it in original patina. Interior brown canvas is clean. Inside has a slight smell of vintage. No smoke, no mildew.
Two of the handle hinges have the extra loop for adding a shoulder strap.
One interior pocket that hides the leather date code. This was made before cellphones, so no cellphone pocket. Has heat stamp in the leather on one end near the base.
Date Code is SD0030
Measures 14" by 9" and the base is 6 5/8" wide.
I personally carry an Alma. I love the double zippers that go all the way to the leather base allowing the bag to open up really wide to help you find your stuff.
Shipping (Priority Mail) with insurance is free in the U.S.A. with this purse. Isn't that great?
