Early Navajo Natural Turquoise & Sterling Silver Bracelet Fred Harvey Era
Early Navajo sterling silver & turquoise cuff bracelet. The stone is natural green with chocolate brown matrix. Stone is set in the early style of bezel that comes up high onto the top surface of the stone. Bezel has file marks and uneven rustic edge. Stamp decoration includes Zia, Thunderbirds and arrows.
Measures 1 3/8" wide. Interior measures 5 5/8" plus the opening of 1 1/4".
It has an old Indian solder repair to a break. The solder disturbs one of the Zia stamps. This repair is early. There is also an interior crack, but the bracelet is stable. I would not bend it and push your luck, but it can be worn for many years to come just the way it is.
It has tarnish and it is advised to not polish this piece for this original patina adds value. Weight: 34 grams. No marked. C. 1925.
