02 Early Navajo Turquoise Ring Sterling Silver
Early Navajo sterling silver ring set with natural green turquoise with chocolate brown chert matrix. Stone may be a specimen from the King's Manassa Mine.
It has a crack that is natural and runs 3/4 the way across the stone. This stone is not stabilized or filled so this is to be expected.
Silver work is rustic hand hand-hewn with a rough surface. Raindrops are hand dropped. Face measures 1" L x 3/4" W. The shank is formed with three hand-pulled wire that is soldered at the back in a rather messy fashion.
It is not hallmarked. Acid tested sterling silver. Weight: 9 grams.
