Early Navajo Twisted Wire Cuff Bracelet with Turquoise
Early 1930s Navajo sterling silver bracelet that is hand wrought. The cuff is formed of hand pulled wire that was also twisted by hand. Has bars at the terminal tips. Stone is in a plain bezel with twisted wire rope embellishments and a hand formed fan on each side of the stone.
Turquoise is natural an not filled. You will find some natural indentions in the surface.
Nice big piece that has an interior measurement of 5 3/8" long plus the opening of 1 5/8". 1 1/8" wide. Weight: 35 grams. Tarnished. No hallmarks. Too early for that. Acid tested sterling silver.
This came to me from a private collection. Pieces like this are very hard to find on the open market now.
