This necklace is of early Pueblo Indian beads. The beads are earlier than the pendant. This was restrung at some point in time. They are of jasper and shell and were hand carved. The holds were drilled by hand- see close-up photo. One side of the bead has a large hole and the other side is smaller due to the cone shaped hole from the drill.
The beads are chippy and have shiney wear. Over 100 years old.
The Thunderbird pendant is nickel silver and set with reconstituted turquoise. The hand soldered hogan beads are sterling silver.
The necklace is 20" long. It weighs 4.3 ounces.
