1949 Sterling silver cluster earrings by the highly famous and collected Frank Patania Sr. They are fully hallmarked on the back and the mark is his first hallmark. Frank was actually anglo, an immigrant from Italy, but his work is one of the most valuable Navajo work collected. He passed away in 1964.
These earrings are clip-on style came from an estate with matching brooch. They are on the original Thunderbird shop card with 1949 written on the back. Clips operate well.
Each Earring is set with 3 very fine No.8 Mine spider web turquoise stones. They are accented with large raindrops. Measure a diameter of almost 1". Total Weight: 16 grams.
Note: Clips themselves are brass with silver plate and they have wear to the silver.
