Estate fresh! Vintage signed Navajo sterling silver belt buckle that is set with a monster mint green spider web turquoise stone. Buckle is hallmarked sterling and BB. This marked is used by 3 different Navajo artists.
This stunning stone measures 2 1/2" by 1 5/8". The buckle is file decorated. It measures 3 1/8" by 2 1/8". For a belt that is 1 3/8" wide. It weighs 83.2 grams.
The belt was made by leathersmith Michael Gibson who has crafted American west style leather goods for 50 years. This belt was made when his shop was in Durango, CO. He has recently relocated to AZ. Belt is of dark chocolate brown with tooling. The belt has 22 Western engraved silver plates; two are heart shaped and 20 are rectangular. I acid tested them and they are a base metal with sterling overlay. The plates go all the way around the belt. It is a 40" belt and 1 3/8" wide.
Belt and buckle are in excellent condition.
