Navajo Squash Blossom Necklace Sterling Silver Turquoise Spider Naja S
Navajo Style Sterling Silver turquoise Spider Naja Squash Blossom bench bead necklace.
Center naja pendant measures 2 1/4" long and 2 1/8" wide. The 8 side pendants measure 1 5/8" long and 1 1/2" wide.
The necklace is the long Indian length of 30" long and is very likely dead pawn.
It weighs 235 grams.
This is a one of a kind piece that I am so excited to have the opportunity to purchase this.
It is constructed with hand soldered 8 mm bench beads or hogans. It is strung with 9 tufa cast najas. Each naja is set with genuine turquoise and a hand wrought spider. The spiders are hand made with excellent detail. Turquoise stones are pale blue and green.
Strung on cable..
This necklace is hallmarked on the back of the center naja. It has a hand etched H with an arrow. I cannot find this in my books so I cannot tell you at this time who made it or if it is Navajo or Zuni tribally affiliated.
