Early early Navajo sterling silver cuff bracelet. It is pre-1925 and likely from the teens era. The silver is thick and hand wrought. The interior is filled with flow marks and it has long cold chisel splits. It is stamp decorated. and set with a large overall natural turquoise stone from the Hachita Mine. It may have been blue at one time and turned green. The matrix is tan sandstone chert.
No hallmarks and in original patina. Interior measures 5” plus the opening of 1 1/4”. The silver is 2.3 mm thick simply because it has harder to thin it out with primitive tools. Not sheet metal was being used at the time.
It is 1 1/4” wide. Weight:47.5 grams. Highly collectible and rare piece. Genderless design.
Thank you for considering used items. When you reuse, recycle and reinvent old things, you are preventing new ones from being made. When you wear vintage you not only prevent new ones from being made, you are creating a fashion look and style all of your own. You are also helping my small business and my family as well as the families of those who are always scouting out great finds for me. For that, we all THANK YOU! ❤️
