Rare Navajo Turquoise Chain Panel Bracelet
In my 18 years doing this, I have never seen one of these, let alone been able to purchase one. This is C, 1920-1930 and very rare.
The chain panels are hand cut from hand made (ingot style) sheet. it has wonderful uneven edges, file marks and flow marks. Use the zoom feature to look at the back of the piece close up. Look at the interior cut outs. The stamping is early die stamps with an occasional leather punch used as a stamp. The larger turquoise stone appears to be Cerrillos Mine turquoise. The clasp is hand formed and does not lock, but holds well. Arrowhead charge at the clasp is set with turquoise as well.
Bracelet is 7" long and 5/8" wide. Very tarnished. It is highly advised to not polish this piece or disturb the patina.
Weight: 19 grams. No hallmarks, too early for that. Acid tested for metal purity.
And yes, I am soooooo tempted to keep this for my own collection, it's THAT good.
