Signed Navajo Ring with Pilot Mountain Turquoise Sterling Silver 1974 Size: 7
Signed Navajo ring that has a very rustic design and a natural turquoise stone from the Pilot Mountain Mine. The shank is hand wrought with appliqué swirled hand pulled wire beneath the setting on each side. Face of the ring has two large hand dropped raindrops and appliqué work as well. This stone is an outstanding specimen.
Size: 7 Face measures 1 1/2" long by 7/8" wide.
Scratched in hallmark on the back. "D and below that L 74"
Weight: 20 grams. The ring was made just before the huge turquoise rush of 1975. So many mines were open at the time. I find some very fine pieces of turquoise in jewelry of this vintage. This is a great find.
