From a private collection is this outstanding large salad service set with fork and spoon. It was made by Navajo artist Don Platero, son of Dan Platero. They are both stamp decorated and set with spider web Morenci Turquoise. When I was photographing them, I noticed that the natural matrix within the stones form the initials L R. I wonder if Don chose these stones for this reason.
They measure 10 5/8" long. Total weight: 8.8 ounces. Pristine condition.
