Fine vintage Zuni made animal fetish or totem necklace. This is a triple strand necklace with 50 carved animals. The heishi beads are American turquoise in is soft blue with matrix mixed with brown heishi. Very fine at 1.6mm in diameter. The hand carved animals are of semi-precious various gemstones such as turquoise, jasper, azurite, malachite, abalone and more. Eyes are drilled.
Longest strand Measures 30” long. On original brown natural fiber string. Cones and clasp are sterling and cones are marked as such. sterling silver clasp. Weight: 61.8 grams. Animals are carved well and have a smooth surface. Very finished.
