White Heishi & Turquoise Necklace Vintage 1970s Southwestern
Vintage Southwestern necklace C. 1970s. It is of white heishi shell beads that are a camel tan color. They are strung with spider web turquoise nugget beads and silver bead that may or may not be sterling. I would have to scratch them to test them. The pendant was hand made of a nice turquoise cabochon that was glued to a costume grade bail. The stone is backed with a black backing and was intended to be set into a bezel. Stone has a natural interior crack and is not in danger of breaking through. Nice dual color and a few pyrite inclusions. Necklace is 18" long. Has a non-sterling barrel clasp. Nice and rustic they way I like 'em.
