I am so thankful to for you. 

It's Christmas and I don't want to get all sappy, but I have to tell you this little story. 

Two years ago I was really scared. After 15 years selling my antiques and jewelry on eBay, things had changed. eBay made some poor decisions and they had begun to fail. They installed a bad search engine and google caught them cheating with SEO and penalized them. My customers could not find me anymore. Business was dropping fast. The writing was on the wall and it was time for a change. I had a small Etsy store and I was in the process of interviewing to become a vendor for One Kings Lane. With a family to support, I was scared to death! How was I going to pay my bills? I'm a single Mom and I could not go back to the corporate world now! My daughter was in high school and we had almost made it to graduation with me being able to make money at home. I had to figure out a way.

I decided to learn to build a website. So the day after Christmas I began. It was hard, really hard. I had no idea how to do this. There were very long days learning and studying. Once the website was built, I had no idea how to help people find me. Luckily, I was then accepted by One Kings Lane and I was able to take my time to study and learn what to do with this website.

Things were looking up and then, 1 1/2 years ago, my daughter (my model in my photos) was diagnosed with T1D- Juvenile Diabetes, the auto-immune form of the disease. That turned our lives upside-down. I had to make this website work. I HAD to. 

Not until about 6 months ago did I really start to understand how it all works. Now I am filling my website with wonderful finds as fast as I can. It's about photo shoots, fresh product, discounting pieces that I have had too long and being able to connect with you on Facebook and Pinterest. For the first time since I had a brick and mortar antique shop in the 1990s, I feel like I get actually connect with people and we can get to know each other. 

I love hearing about you and what you like and collect. I love to hear how people dress and what they do for fun. It's great to share things that I like and photos of my life with you. After all of the blood, sweat and tears building my website, I really love it now! And, that is because of you.
