Early Santo Domingo heishi bead necklace. The beads and all hand drilled and you can see evidence of this. Look at the photos of the holes close-up. One side is chippy and funnel shaoed and the hole on the other side is smaller. Bot the shell and the turquoise beads are hand drilled. The Clasp is handmade and the orange glass beads are trade beads. Hand knotted on original string. It is 16" long. Beads have a diameter range of 4.4 mm to 7.3 mm. Weight: 27.1 grams. A collector piece.
