Early Navajo made black leather concho belt. There are 20 conchos plus the buckle. Each concho is set with one turquoise stone that range in color from mint green to dark green. Each is stamp decorated. 

The conchos are made of hammered silver coins and the reeding is still visible on the edges. They measure 1 1/8" by 7/8". the buckle is 2" by 1 3/8" and has copper findings and straps. 

Leather is 32" long end to end. It is old and musty smelling. Has been stored at a SoCal beach estate for years. All original. Approximate age 1940. 

Could be adjusted and used as a hatband.
