Wonderful vintage Hawaiian puka shell necklace.  The necklace has 100% natural puka shells that graduate in size from 4 mm to 10.6mm diameter. (Measured with caliper)  The large black bead is black coral and measures 1” long and 14.4 mm in diameter. It is on thick black beading line and has original tarnished brass barrel clasp. I tested the clasp with acid and it is gold plated.

These shells have natural holes, great wear from the ocean and sand and are bleached white by the sun. They have not been polished and have an eggshell surface.

Necklace is 15" long. Weight: 28.7 grams. Fine, collectible and valuable necklace.
