Rustic vintage Hawaiian puka shell necklace. C. 1970s.  The necklace has 100% natural puka shells are various shades of beige and white. The color is natural and beautiful Almost honey colored. The shells are graduated from 5.2 in diameter to 13.7mm.  (Measured with caliper) It is on original cable beading line and has original silver tone clasp.

These shells have natural holes, great wear from the ocean and sand and are bleached white by the sun. They need to be cleaned with a soft brush. I have learned that collectors like them as found, so I have left them as such. 

Necklace is 22 1/2" long, which is a hard to find length. Weight: 94.7 grams. Fine, collectible and valuable necklace.
