Early Navajo Hand made, rustic Naja beaded necklace.
Naja: Hand formed with a hand pulled carinated wire Naja. It has applied hand cut and scribed feathers. Terminal tips have huge hand made raindrops that are stamp decorated. Measures 2 5/8" wide.
The turquoise stone is huge measuring 2 1/8" by 7/8". It is set in a deep 7mm bezel that is unevenly hand notched all the way around. Note this in the photos. Naja with the turquoise is 3" tall. Stone is natural ad mine of origin is unknown. It is American though.
Necklace is 241/2" long and of silver cable. The beads and hand made, hand soldered and have the holes hand punched from the inside out, The fluted texture is highly desirable.
The entire piece has a rich and warm gunmetal patina.
Handmade clasp. Two jump rings are not sterling as shown in photos.
