Antique solid sterling silver mantilla hair comb. This piece has British assay marks: a lion, warrior head and perhaps the letter “I”. They are hard to read and not good enough for me to date the piece exactly.
The design is outstanding with florals, cherubs and a ship.
It has a ring on the back for a chain or a stabilizing piece. It measures 6 1/2” tall by 2 1/2” wide. Weight: 78.4 grams.
