This is a consignment and the owner purchased it from the original owner. He wants the set to stay together.
This set was made by Navajo artist Larry Pinto for the original owner in July of 1973. Pieces are marked with his name with electric engraver and some are dated. This is a very rare set!
Concho Belt: Buckle with 6 butterflies and 7 conchos. One original black leather. Buckle and conchos are set with high grade red branch coral. Conchos are 3 1/8" x 2 3/8". Belt is 37" end to end Has two holes punched at 32" and 34 1/2".Weight: 478 grams
Squash Blossom Necklace: Has 12 blossoms and a nice simple Naja. All set with matching coral. Very fine and thick saucer bench beads with a diameter of 9.3 mm. Necklace is 20" long. Naja is 3" by 2 1/2" and the blossoms are 1 1/2" long. Strung o cable.
Weight: 219.8 grams.
(Note: Larry Pinto later went on to be an expert in the making of "silver pearls". His beaded necklaces are highly collected and prized. Due o poor health, he is no longer producing)
Cuff Bracelet: Set with three matching coral stones. Cuffs are carinated. Interior measures 5 1/4" plus the opening of 1 1/8", It is 1 1/16" wide. Weight: 48.5 grams.
Ring: Set with a matching coral stone. Size 7 1/4. Faceis 15/16" long. Weight: 5.6 grams
Earrings: Screw back style with matching coral. Screws work well. 15/16" long. Weight: 6.9 grams.
All pieces are in original patina and were kept well in excellent condition.
