Old Navajo Raindrop Ring with Carlin Mine Turquoise in Sterling Silver Size 10

Old Navajo wrought sterling silver raindrop ring that is set with rare Carlin Mine turquoise. It is set in a plain bezel. The shand is strong and thick with cold chisel splits and a large hand dropped raindrop at each split. It is a size 10 and was originally a man's ring. These are unisex though.  Face measures 7/8" long. The black on each side of the turquoise is chert or host rock. This turquoise formed ion veins in this chert black matrix making for a dramatic contrast. The Carlin mine was closed forever many years ago and this stone is highly collected. Weight: 10.8 grams. C. 1920-1940.
